The Variety Club of Memphis, Tent 20 is a private club who’s members spend their time and energy raising much needed funds for our non-profit, “Variety The Children’s Charity.” Members do this and volunteers by working within their local chapters (known as “Tents”), to raise these much needed funds, with 100% of all proceeds remaining in their areas to help children in need. Corporate sponsors of Variety and our fundraising event help us make a greater difference in the lives of many children. Major fundraising events are underway each month at Variety: January and February kicked-off with the National Variety Gold Heart Campaign. March brings in the Wild Game Dinner and springs into action the Bunny 5K Run & 1 Mile Family Fun Walk. April rings in with the Rajun Cajun Crawfish & Gumbo Cook-Off Festival on the Mississippi River. June is the KCBS & TN State sanctioned Variety BARBECUE BASH. October we tug a 727 Jet in the Memphis Plane Pull, November rolls in the Bowl-A-Thon, followed by the Annual Variety Holiday Food Basket Drive in December feeding over 1200 children and their families Christmas Dinner and food for the holiday week.
